Tire and Car Battery Size Questions Answered

A size or group number narrows your search; it does not complete the vehicle and product checks. Start with the questions below, then open a detailed guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy any tire that shares my tire size?

No. Match the full service description, tire class, axle, installed wheel and any OE marking with the vehicle’s placard and manual.

Where is my recommended tire pressure?

Use the vehicle’s driver-door tire placard or owner’s manual for cold pressure. The maximum pressure on a tire sidewall is a different number.

Can a VIN tell me my factory wheel size?

It can identify basic vehicle information, but a VIN decode may not establish the installed wheel package. Check the actual placard and build record.

Does Group 48 or H6 fit every car listed with H6?

No. Check chemistry, voltage, terminals, hold-down, venting, CCA and vehicle-specific service procedures for the exact product.

Can I change an AGM battery to a flooded battery?

Only if the vehicle manufacturer approves that technology for the exact system. Start-stop and BMS requirements can rule out an apparent group-size match.

Can I replace one tire on an AWD car?

Measure tread and check the vehicle maker’s allowable rolling-circumference difference. There is no universal one-tire rule.

Are EV traction batteries covered?

No. This site addresses researched low-voltage systems and road tires. High-voltage traction pack work requires OEM procedures and trained personnel.

What do the Amazon links verify?

They open labeled Amazon search results for a relevant size, group, part number or maintenance accessory. No exact listing, price, stock or vehicle-to-product fitment is approved.
